Although pooling all sectors together has the disadvantage of imposing the same technological coefficients across sectors, we did it in order for Links of London results not to be plagued by the small sample in each industry. The preceding findings have strong policy implications for efforts to increase manufacturing productivity in Cameroon. Policies aimed at reducing the effective protection of the manufacturing sector are shown to accelerate productivity growth. While the results of this paper are encouraging, there remains considerable scope for refining and deepening the research agenda.
